Evaluation of Rural Development Projects and Policies

This course teaches and trains the standard methods for the evaluation of development projects and policies. We cover experimental as well as quasi-experimental approaches, such as regression discontinuity, difference-in-differences and propensity-score matching. We apply these methods in Stata using concrete project examples. The course also covers cost-benefit-analysis (CBA), discusses its applications and applies CBA methods in policy examples. For this part, we use MS-Excel.
